My daughter started at Tykes when she was about 18 months old and was there until just before she turned 5. I opted to not send her to JK and keep her at Tykes for the year. It was a great choice. Her SK teacher said she would have never known that she did not attend formal JK and her knowledge and social skills were above what she would expect. The staff at the centre were excellent and although we've moved away we keep in touch and get together for visits.
