As a parent of a child with a developmental disability finding an appropriate full day learning environment can be challenging. After visiting the kindergarten orientation at our local public school it was clear that our son was not yet ready and it was not a good fit. We decided that a modified Montessori program would be best for him. From our very first visit to The Oakwood Children’s House I was so impressed with the bright classroom, structured environment and warm staff. They embraced my son into the family. He has been there a little over a month and is thriving in ways I couldn’t have imagined in a short period of time. They are such a close knit group and the small classroom environment has been a perfect fit for him. They are invested in his development and take the time to ensure he is flourishing.
