Our child was at Teddy Bear for just under a year and we were happy with the care. The saftey features are great - camera, buzz in or card. The food was healthy and plentiful and the staff were attentive and helpful and really care for the children. The fees were higher than other places but not overly so. The only negative comment I have is on the curriculum. For a short time, our child was at another facility and had begun to learn how to write letters and was engaged as school was to start in the fall. That facility had a 'kindergarden readiness program' especially for those kids who were learning all letters etc. This is not in evidence at TBA and when I inquired I was told, then they will be bored in kindergarten. Unfortunately, now we are doing catch up because many kids are going into kindergarten knowing how to read and write so its a high benchmark. I would suggest this be something that is reviewed in the future. The staff are ECE so they could develop this play based curriculum.
