Our child has been attending Sunny Ducks since the Fall of 2011. We were forced into an emergency situation due to a larger "Care" centre asking us to remove our child as he was not "adjusting fast enough". After review, we found out the child to worker ratio at this "Daycare" was way too high to meet our sons needs, enter Sunny Ducks Daycare. From our initial meetings with Shawna at Sunny Ducks our hopes and expectations have been more than exceeded. Our child has thrived under her care. He arrived a shy and timid boy with very few communication skills. Today, thanks to his involvement with this Daycare, he is beginning to gain confidence in dealing with new people and situations and is able to communicate his needs and wants to us, thanks to Shawna's work with him. The child to worker ratio is kept extremely low. Shawna, to my mind, has become not just a primary caregiver to our child while we are at work, but an extended family member/aunt. Our childs life is richer for having her in it.
