Description

A Typical Day at TLC Saskatoon Daycare
AM
7:30 - arrival and cartoons
8:30 - breakfast (such as oatmeal or cereal or pancakes)
9:00 - Circle Time (talk about the month, day, season, weather; assign daily helper; sing/music)
9:30 - free play
10:00 - morning snack (such as fruit with yogurt)
10:15 - clean up, bathroom time, get ready for outdoor play
11:30 - come inside, free play, get ready for lunch
PM
12:00 - lunch (such as grilled cheese and ham with carrot sticks or mashed potatoes with chicken and corn or spaghetti with cucumbers)
12:45 - clean up
1:00 - story time
1:30 - quiet time (older kids will learn letters, numbers, do puzzles, coloring, read books)
3:30 - snack (such as apples and cheese)
3:45 - craft or outdoor play
4:30 - clean up and free play
5:15 - departure

General Information

Enrolling Your Child/Children:
- We will have a family meeting with you and your child/children to determine if we will be a good fit for each other. Kids are all unique and we want to make sure that we provide a fun and safe learning environment for our children and yours.
- We aim to find families with the same values of respect for one another as our family holds.

Meals and Snacks:
- Breakfast will be offered to the children that arrive before 10am
- We provide a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack
- We aim to provide healthy well rounded home cooked meals including whole grains, fruits and veggies.
- Kids are only kids once and treats such as cookies and muffins are also part of our daycare experience.

Outdoor Activities and Field Trips:
- We strive to get outside everyday as kids need fresh air! Please bring seasonally appropriate clothing for you child/children
- We will plan fun and educational field trips throughout the year, parents permission will be granted before each trip.

Supplies:
- Please bring a week or longer supply of diapers, the diapers will be labeled with your child's name
- Please provide and label any creams or lotions that your child/children requires (this includes sunscreen and bug spray)

Illness:
- Sick children will not be allowed to attend daycare and must stay away for a minimum of 24hrs or 48hrs if they have been prescribed antibiotics.
- If a child becomes sick at daycare the parents will be called to come and pick up your child, if the parents cannot be reached we will notify your emergency contact.

Discipline:
- If a child is being disruptive he/she will be asked to leave the activity until he/she can behave appropriately.
- If the behavior persists the child will be placed in a "time out".
- Any consistent disruptive behavior will be discussed with the parents.

Fees and Payments:
- Full time childcare $700/month (subject to change with notice)
- Fees must be paid before the 1st day of the month (postdated cheques are preferred).
- Receipts will be issued in January for the previous year's fees.
- To enroll your child we require a $350 deposit to hold the spot, this will be applied towards your first month payment.

Holidays and Days Off:
- We are closed for all statutory holidays as well as Boxing Day.
- We generally take 3 weeks vacation throughout the year for which you will be notified a minimum of 2 months in advance. Unfortunately we cannot provide back-up care.
