Father of a child make me uncomfortable
« on: January 29, 2014, 07:58:11 PM »
Okay I have a situation that I don't know how to deal with.  I run α private day home and started looking after this boy.  When they first came to meet me I was sitting in the main room with the mother and son talking and playing and the father just took it upon himself to start looking in all the rooms.  I know I run a day home and I have nothing to hide but that just caught me by surprise.

So at the end of day I usually have his son ready to go but today I was not able to as his son had to go potty.  The father took off his shoes and came in.  He checked the kitchen out, he looked into my sons room who was just sitting do homework and then looked into the other rooms.  At the end he came into the bathroom and watched me while I helped his son go on the potty and wash his hands.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

That would make me uncomfortable as well. I would ask the parent to please wait in the front foyer or the dedicated daycare areas of the house. good luck.
