How much do you pay a sub
« on: December 17, 2012, 11:41:37 PM »
Hi, I recently started using a substitute for when I am ill or have planning to do (about once per month). I am expecting a baby in May and am looking at options to keep the clients I have without sending them away for a month. I am wondering if there is a standard wage to pay a substitute especially if it is for a longer period of time other than just a day. Any advice? :)

Pay a fair wage for the experience, skills and qualifications the person you find.
It is important to get a good, reliable person that the parents will be comfortable with, as you don't want to lose them just because you skimped on a decent pay.
Work out what you can afford.
