My Name is Karen Fiddes. I am a private home educator and day home Provider offering you a service that is comparable to no other, in the setting of a well equipped, extraordinarily furnished centre. I take great pride in the curriculum I administrate and I'm very confident that when a parent chooses to enrol their Child in my programme they would not only be positive that they have made the right decision but will recognise that they are receiving an elite service at a very reasonable below standard rate. Parents that are familiar with the cost & provisions of a private organisation such as a Montessori school or private academic institution will appreciate what their children are receiving and the financial value they are given. My Goal is to provide a service that is above the rest. Being a parent of two children myself, I know the number one concern and sometimes fear, for parents is the safety and well being of their children. For this I assure parents and offer relief by providing a clean, safe, child friendly, smoke and pet free environment. Stimulating, motivational well balanced activities are made available daily to challenge and inspire each child. I encourage positive learning, supportive counsel productive interaction, constructive criticism, group fun, confident approach, functional sensible play and total enjoyment. My promise is to provide not only excellent supervision for your children but create an environment of effective learning, operative instruction and absolute fun, that will equip them suitably for a successful journey into their academic future that they would soon endeavour. The educational activities included daily are geared towards each child's age and appropriate developmental stage. A wide variety of toys, which enhance daily growth and social interaction in play. An excellent supply of books, crafts, games, puzzles, interactive toys, and learning activities suited to encourage problem solving techniques, enhance fine & gross motor skills and much more. Numerous great selections provided and used to best develop your children. Fun, Friendship and Co-operation is continuously emphasized. The Children are encouraged to explore their imagination through dramatic play, using make-believe items, dress up, and areas to complement this expressive exciting feature. In doing this, I believe it motivates and develops their imagination and life skills. Participation is a fundamental and very important tool required in our daily program. Special tasks for participation are noted on a calendar each month, and these projects are geared towards teaching your children the importance of listening, learning, sharing, responsibility, and following instructions. I oblige you the parent to assist your Child in completing their assignments. Children are never too young to learn; in fact it is proven that their learning skills are much greater at this stage of their development. Enabling this, each day the Children explore a variety of mediums and tools such as finger and brush painting, colouring, safety scissors, pastels, crayons, markers, chalk, sparkles, glue, tape, stamps, stickers, pasting, stencils and many other arts & crafts materials. Sensory play includes items such as Play-doh, sand, clay, rice, pasta, cereal, wood chips, beads, jellybeans, water, and a number of other sensory materials making it possible and allowing your children a great experience. The Development of Personality and Character building is highly promoted. A vast scale of educational and instructional materials is employed in the ideals and direction, emphasizing principle and standards. A significant amount of time is invested promoting ideal morals and ethics that range from many ideas, perfecting the utmost quality & excellence in value and the philosophy of my centre. Role Play, Songs, Stories, Rhymes, Movies, Colours, Shapes, and Letter & Number recognition are just a fraction of what is endorsed daily. Children are encouraged to share ideas, feelings, emotions and thoughts, which makes for a fun and fantastic experience, as well as improves listening skills for accuracy in everyday life skills and sound proficiency. Show & Tell is one method I use in doing this, which at the same time teaches the kids to share while allowing them to be heard.
Nutritious food is also provided for Meal & Snack Time: Social skills are taught, expanded and increased as well as initiating the cultivation of new habits. Children are able to have the delight of something healthy & wholesome while they enjoy a variety of many different new tastes.
My goal for each child in my care is that, she/he is receiving a stimulating and enriching experience; To ensure that they interact busily, safely, happily and with confidence, in an atmosphere that nurtures, develops and supports their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs and abilities; One that allows them to meet new challenges and new friends while structuring their personalities. I hope to be able to equip them with the necessary tools and prerequisite that is an essential requirement in becoming more than school-ready.
