Daycare description / philosophy

My personal philosophy is that each individual child is unique

This is a private home daycare that is provided to meet the needs of children and their families. It has a comfortable and safe environment and large play space both indoors and outdoors that enables the children to use their gross motor skills. Nutritional meals are served, paying attention to the Canada food guide. Age-appropriate activities and toys are provided for the children to explore and learn. Providing security and the safety of the children under my care is paramount on my list as well.
As a graduate of Vanier College from the Early Childhood Education Department; my personal philosophy is that each individual child is unique despite of their gender, color, race or background. I believe because of their uniqueness children grow, develop and learn differently. I believe in the process of learning; a child's age, developmental stage or skills, personality and temperament should be taken into consideration by the educators. I strongly believe that learning is a continuous process; but what we learn and how we learn early in life plays a vital and important role even in adulthood. As an educator I will be dedicated and consistent with the children that are in my care, making them and their families feel accepted and welcome. I might not be able to touch the life of all the children in the world but I can start with one child at a time.
