Daycare description / philosophy

KidsPark Day Care:

A new home day care with experienced educators will be opening spaces for April 2013 in the Westmount area, located in a privileged place across the Westmount Park and its play areas.

The goals of KidsPark are to develop children's self-confidence, independence, and concentration, and to nurture their inherent interest in learning and creativity. Music, movement, literacy, sports and visual arts are an active part of every child's day.

Our professional and dedicated educators encourage each child to be confident of his or her abilities and sensitive to the needs of others. We provide a well-balanced and developmentally appropriate curriculum which encourages social growth. We value open communication with parents which helps reinforce what is learned at home and in school.

Not just a daycare

Our educational system, orientated in the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD), supports a representation of intellectual development based on continuity. The ZPD states that learning can force cognitive development. That's why with the ZPD our role as educators states as a necessary mediator of child's cognitive development.

We promote a reciprocal teaching. With this, we work together in learning and practicing four key skills: summarizing, questioning, clarifying, and predicting. Our role in the process is reduced over time. We help to structure or arrange a task so that a novice can work on it successfully.

We have many different activities to accomplish the different cognitive skills, socialization and motor development, such as:

Outdoor Education

Our great Location allow us to explore the Nature, enjoy the Westmount and NDG parks and spend some of our activities outdoor enjoy the free open space.

Our activities will take advantages of all the possibilities that the parks offer to us: the wading pool, the extensive playground, beautiful floral plantings, a playing field.

About Us

Our Daycare operated with CPR certified personnel, very concerned about safety; our center is smoke and pet free, is a safe, nurturing, compassionate, learning environment.

It is our joy and pleasure to help families find just the right early education setting for their children and we're sure it's here with us, in a safe and comfortable place where learning is full of fun.


Bilingual: English and French (and Spanish as a third language)

The fee includes Breakfast, a hot meal and two snacks. Fresh, organic and homemade meals based on the Canada's Food Guide. We had also personalized menus is needed.

Receipts available upon request, for government tax refund.

We currently don't have any spot available but we will have new places in December.

We are moving next July nearby our current location. The new place on Chemin Upper Lachine (NDG-Westmount adjacent) is located in a privileged space in the same block the Georges-Saint-Pierre Park. You can check out the area and the park in the following link:
