Daycare description / philosophy

Horizon Childcare provides the families of Blackfalds and surrounding area with a secure, happy, enriching and loving environment for their children while they are at work or attending school. Each day is made a positive experience by including opportunities for: socialization, story time, arts and crafts, free play, and outdoor activities. Warm, nutritious meals and snacks are provided following the Canada Food Guide for recommended servings. Children are cared for and nurtured by individuals trained in early childhood development.

We are conveniently located downtown Blackfalds at 4914 Broadway Ave. in a newly renovated space of over 2000 sq ft with plenty of parking and a fully enclosed outdoor play space. Our facility's modern, child-centered and bright design mirror our child care philosophy: to provide an environment which is safe, comfortable and stimulating, promoting curiosity and creativity; giving young children the physical, social, intellectual and emotional care they need, taking into account each child's individual needs, interests and abilities.
