Daycare Openings, Description and Features

Daycare description / philosophy

Little Star is a local, accredited program that has been running for over 10 years offering 3 types of programs:
*Play School Classes to 3 year olds.
*Pre-K classes to 4 year olds (children who will attend kindergarten the following season).
*Out of School Care which provides before/after and full day care on PD days to school age children. Out of school care is offered at the Little Star location for IREC school and operates onsite at IRIC and St. Gregory schools.

It is our mission to help children become independent, self-assured individuals by creating the opportunities to build self-esteem, develop new friendships, create values and learn to respect themselves. We will do our best to meet the needs of each and every child socially, emotionally, and physically through our creative and innovative programs. We feel that children need to learn and grow through self-discovery and exploration. When children are given an environment rich with opportunities and new experiences they naturally learn and grow. We will encourage personal growth by creating opportunities for children to make decisions for themselves and take responsibility for their actions. Each child will be treated as a unique individual with different wants, needs and goals, but will be encouraged to participate as a team player. Each and every child at Little Star Play School & Out of School Program has the right to feel safe and that they belong.
