Daycare description / philosophy

Ages 1-5 | Spaces Available Hello! My name is Angela, and I have proudly operated Angela's Day Home, a trusted private home-based childcare program in Copperfield SE Calgary, since 2007. I provide a safe, clean, naturally bright, spacious, smoke-free home where children can learn, play, grow, and feel comfortable each day. My small group setting allows me to provide individualized care and attention, helping each child build confidence, independence, and a love of learning. I am a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator with current First Aid/CPR certification for childcare, a Police Clearance, an Intervention Record Check, and a City of Calgary Business License. I also participate in ongoing early childhood education workshops and professional development to continue providing the highest quality care. Children enjoy a balanced daily routine that includes healthy morning and afternoon snacks, a nutritious lunch, story time, arts and crafts, games, music, indoor and outdoor play in our fully fenced backyard, and plenty of opportunities to learn through play. We celebrate birthdays, holidays, and seasonal events throughout the year, creating lasting memories and a fun, welcoming environment. My home is naturally bright, clean, smoke-free, and shared with two friendly family cats who are gentle, well accustomed to children, and simply part of our welcoming home environment. A unique part of my program is our creative preschool curriculum. Through two engaging monthly themes, children explore letters, numbers, colours, shapes, early literacy, problem-solving, and hands-on learning activities that help prepare them for kindergarten while developing their physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and communication skills. I believe that strong communication with families is essential. Conveniently located in Copperfield SE, my day home is easily accessible for families in Copperfield, New Brighton, McKenzie Towne, Mahogany, Auburn Bay, Cranston, Seton, Douglasdale, and surrounding southeast Calgary communities.
