Daycare description / philosophy

Dragon's Fly Daycare is a privately run dayhome serving families in the community of Springbank Hill, Signal Hill, Glamorgan, Aspen, Glenbrook, and Lakeview.
My dayhome has the Moto Kindness, Courtesy and Caring. We strive to help the children to learn and grow good Citizenship and it shows at the door.
I teach the children through play, making learning fun. we have a lot of outdoor time, music, reading, writing skills, workbooks and science days. I use ABCMouse as a teaching and learning tool along withother child friendly resources.
We go on field trips by bus and c train only, never by car. Some of our outings include trips to the local parks and plagrounds, the library, petland, the Calgary Zoo, Devonian Gardens and Prince's Island Park. everyone is on their best behaviour on these trips and we get so many compliments from all kinds of people.
Each child gets individual attention to help them succeed in each of their activities. I focus on their talents and promote independence.
