Daycare description / philosophy

I am Shannen Bosco...Mama Bosco! I am a stay at home mother of 2 lovely children, Keaton (5) and Cambrie (3). I have recently moved to Calgary from Kelowna and I would love to be able to help out in the community by providing childcare services that will be able to fit the needs of any busy parent who may also have an odd hour job. I will be accepting full-time, part-time, drop-in care, after school care (we live one block from the bus stops), evenings, and overnight care.

We have a comfortable home that backs a modern playground and field, We love to go on outings and be outside when the weather permits:)
I have experience working with children of all ages, I am first-aid certified, and have a clean driving record. I have experience with deaf and hard of hearing children (my daughter is deaf with bi-lateral cochlear implants, she lost her hearing last year) and even though I am relatively new to sign, I love to incorporate it into my daily activities because I feel it is an amazing learning tool for young children.
I like to have a structured day so that the children know what is coming next (being away from mom and dad is hard enough!) and I love to do crafts, teach phonetics, songs, show children how to keep active and fit (I taught tumbling tots gymnastics and swimming), bake with them, and teach them about nature. My daughter has been in her first year of Montessori pre-school and I look forward to incorporating some of the style in my day home.

Rates for childcare (healthy meals and snacks included in full-time care):
Full-time Care: $1000
Part-time Care (including evenings):$55 per day
After School Care: $10 per hour
Evenings: $10 per hour
