Daycare description / philosophy

Are you a teacher? Tired of finding day homes that will charge a holding fee over the summer and take vacation when you still have to work? Well, you've come to the right place. Being a teacher myself, I understand the importance of your job, and the complex nature of what you do. I know that sudden closures and vacations are hard to accommodate. I also understand how important your children are to you. At the Bees Knees day home, I cater to teacher only schedules. What does this mean for you? 1. No vacations planned over the 10 months of the school year. 2. No summer fee to 'HOLD' your spot in my day home. 3. Extended hours on days/nights when you need it (parent-teacher interviews etc). 4. Competitive fees structured to ensure that your child(ren) are cared for, emotionally supported and fed an amazing menu to help support their learning and your career. I strive to keep the children in my care busy doing activities that are not only fun, but educational. We sing songs, play games, bake, paint, make crafts and other activities that encourage kids independence and minds. I encourage children to learn and ask questions- my home is welcoming and warm and I'm always there to offer the love and support that your child might need when you leave them (and you too). We go outside almost daily and enjoy all the weather that Calgary has to offer. I will offer your child home made (not to be confused with home prepared) meals and snacks, and a weekly menu is given so you know exactly what is going into your child's body. I plan theme days, we celebrate birthdays and other holidays and do a variety of crafts depending on the age and ability of the child(ren). Between private nannying to working for a respite agency with special needs children, I enjoy the interaction with young children and I love the energy they bring into my home. I have 4 children of my own (girl- age 13, boy- age 10 years, boy- age 8 years, boy- 6 years) and they love the new friends (that become family) that they get to meet through our day home. I live in a quiet street on the north side of Cranston, with easy access to Deerfoot North, Deerfoot South, and Stony Train (East and West). I am currently looking for families that need full time or part time care starting April 2023 and onward I offer competitive rates and negotiable hours depending on what exactly you need. At this time, I am only looking to fill spots with children of parents who are teachers. Please note that I run a PRIVATE day home that does not accept subsidy.
