Daycare description / philosophy

Lakewood Childcare Centre provides children with a safe and nurturing learning environment through our Learn Through Play philosophy. Our main role is to facilitate growth in all aspects of child development and to help each child discover them self as an individual, and as a member of a group. We truly believe learning is developmental and our centre's guidelines and curriculum will respond to each child's growth, at their own pace.

Lakewood Childcare Centre is licensed for 65 children (8 infants, 12 toddlers, 21 pre-schoolers, and 24 kindergarteners). On January 2nd, 2013 we expanded our license to include an Out of School Care Program. Lakewood Out of School Care is licensed for 47 children; between the two centres we can accommodate 112 children ranging from 1 month to 12 years old.
