Daycare description / philosophy

Hours of operation – Day Care: 7:30 am-6:30 pm Part of the house used: I use the main floor for the daycare, having an open area including an area for storage, toys sleeping area(baby cribs, sleeping mats)living room, a kitchen washroom and a changing station close to the front door. Children learn through play; I will provide a variety of play experiences. These will include fine motor skills, gross motor skills, stories, art, music, problem-solving and social play. *My schedule will remain flexible, taking into consideration the individual developmental needs of each child and modifications will be made whenever possible. DAILY SCHEDULE 7:30 am-8:30 am Children Arriving Free play (child- directed) 8:30 am-9am Circle time or provider-directed activities 9:00 am-9:15 am Bathroom time and hand washing 9:15am-10:00am Snack time 10:00am-10:15am Handwashing, dress for outdoor play 10:15am-11:15am Outside time (depending on the weather) 11:15 am-12:15pm Lunch time 12:15 pm-12:45 pm Bathroom, diapering, clean up from lunch 12:45 pm-2:45 pm Naptime/rest time/ quiet activities for non-nappers 2:45 pm-3:00 pm Storytime 3:00 pm-3:30 pm Snack time 3:30 pm-4:30 pm Diapering and handwashing 4:30pm-:630pm Clean up, prepare for home, quiet activities ECE II, Criminal record check and CPR / FIRST AID
