Daycare description / philosophy

Welcome to Baby Blossom Daycare!
Upon entering the daycare, families are welcomed with a warm greeting and smile each day. While at BBD, children develop a strong bond with his/her peers and teachers. Our goal is to have the children feel safe, be heard, and respected as individuals, and by offering them a sense of Belonging within their atmosphere. The daycare offers healthy, well balanced meals by following the newest version of the Canada Food Guide. Children are encouraged to be independent, tackle challenges, learn to persevere, and fine tune coping techniques to help with his/her own self regulation skills. Children attending BBD are involved in active daily play, whether indoor or out. Active play allows a child to explore their minds, bodies, and senses. It teaches children to ask questions, encourage problem solving skills, and helps them engage in creative thinking. Teachers at BBD are co-learners, investigators, and planners. Documentation occurs throughout the week so that children can feel proud; learn to make meaning of the world around them, and to reflect on their accomplishments.
Communication is a key element to the success of all the children enrolled with us. Children and parents are encouraged to communicate with the teachers at Baby Blossom Daycare to optimize his/her childâ€™s daycare experience. Non verbal infants are taught ASL, and toddlers/preschoolers are spoken with all day to help encourage verbal skills.

Baby Blossom Daycare will help your little one learn a sense of Belonging, Well Being, Engagement and Expression. Your child will grow, develop, and Blossom into the best person s/he can be.

Jan - June 2017 :Wednesday Thursday
July - Aug 2017 :Tuesday and Friday
Sept 2017 - and going forward :Permanent Wednesday, Friday and alternating Thursdays.
