Daycare description / philosophy

Dear Families,

In my home and program, I believe that it is through play that children learn best. I feel it is my role to provide quality, interesting and stimulating experiences and equipment to facilitate this play. I provide materials and activities that meet a range of developmental levels. We learn in a fun way! This creates an environment for each child to grow and learn at their own rate, because each child is different and therefore grows and learns in their own unique way.

Much of my programming occurs in the moment, taking advantage of simple every day learning opportunities. Often we will focus on a specific learning theme for the month in such a way that child is unaware that they are even learning! It comes naturally in an exciting way. I strive to keep my focus on the children's interests and take my cues from them.

My home is bright and open, and the daycare environment is structured throughout 2 levels of the household, outdoors and to local ventures- no cabin fever here! Safety is my absolute #1 concern and the children will always be my first priority throughout all our daily activities.

I provide a strictly anti-bias environment. My home is open to any child and family regardless of their abilities, culture, race, family structure etc. All are welcome!

Lisa's Home Childcare is located in Summerside, a new and developing subdivision located near Highbury Ave S and Commissioners Rd. E. This is a convenient location for families located in Summerside, Pond Mills, Whiteoaks, and families in East London on their way to work.
