Daycare Openings, Description and Features

Daycare description / philosophy

Abuelita's Daycare provides full-time and part-time care in a safe, clean and bright environment that promotes creativity and imagination. We have a large open-concept space dedicated to the children where they can play, grow and discover at their own pace.

This is also a great opportunity for your child to be exposed to another language - both Spanish and English will be used in the daycare.

We provide healthy, home-cooked meals using local and organic products as much as possible.

The rate is $35 a day for full time care.

Activities include free play, story time, circle time, rhythm & movement, crafts and frequent trips to the library, local playgroups and parks when weather permits. Our home is conveniently located next to a large park where children can run around freely.

The Daycare is run from a dedicated space in our house, in a bright and airy open concept semi-basement apartment. It features a play area, a craft zone, a cooking area as well as a separate bedroom for quiet time or nap time. There is even a special hidden children's reading nook :)

The Daycare is centrally located in Ottawa - close to the downtown core, easy access off the 417 yet set in a secluded area surrounded by nature.

The house is pet free and smoke free, as well as child-proofed.
