Daycare description / philosophy

I am an experienced and qualified carer who has worked with children throughout my life in various roles, including as both a nursery nurse and a social worker in England, as well as being a leader with Girl Guides Canada. I have been an Independant (unlicensed) daycare provider for over 12 years and keep my daycare small (max 3 children) to enable more personalized attention. I am offering high quality day care within a large, friendly family home on a quiet family street. We have a main floor dedicated playroom with washroom attached in addiction to the main level rooms and activities. We have a dedicated outside play area and ensure outside activites every day both at home and in the garden and on walks, parks etc. Children love to be outside to play and help in the garden and I have been able to encourage that both through having ample outdoor play equipment and the space and opportunities for growing plants and food. The children love to see how their own plants grow from tiny seed to full fruit and flowers I am happy to work with children of all ages and abilities, and I will accommodate additional needs and allergies wherever possible. I understand that returning to work after having a child is a difficult move for parents to make and I will support this transition wholeheartedly. I am happy to send photos throughout the day to parents to offer reassurance and show the activities and experiences their child has been having. We regularly visit museums, farms, parks etc and also have visited places such as little rays and park omega for specific trips. We are a non smoking, pet free family home with up to date first aid and police clearance.
