Daycare description / philosophy

Offering full-time care for your child/children aged 3 months and up starting April 29th 2013.
Hours: 7:00m-5:00pm (flexible)
I am a loving mother of 2 school-aged children that attend Elisabeth-Bruyere school. I will be graduating from Algonquin College's Early Childhood Education program in April 2013. I have a recent clear criminal records check and an up-to-date Standard First Aid with CPR level "C" certificate, and am a member of the CCPRN. I also have lots of experience working with children of all ages and experience working in a liscenced childcare centre. I am fluently bilingual in english and french and will plan activities, learning opportunities and story-time in both languages.
I strongly believe that children learn through play and strive in a nurturing and positive environment. I offer a homemade healthy lunch and 2 snacks daily that follow the canadian food guide, a curriculum that allows for structured and spontaneous play, weekly themes, circle time, indoor/outdoor play, arts/crafts, and singing/dancing.
My home offers a bright basement playroom with many stimulating and eductional toys for all ages (all new), a main floor play area with art table and easel for our daily crafts, a large fenced-in backyard with play structure, sand table and plenty of room to run around and burn off some energy. I have playpens and cotts for the children to enjoy their nap time or rest period. We live near 3 parks and a splash pad within walking distance.
My home daycare is a home away from home environment that our child/children will learn, play, and grow.
