Daycare description / philosophy

Loving mom of 2 adult children, has been caring for children in her home for the past 26 years. At my home we strive to provide a loving home, we give them the comforts of home with a dayhome atmosphere. We allow the child to be a child and grow, and be their own indivual self, children will recieve minimal structure as I feel they will get enough of that as they enter their school years. So allow the child to be just that a child where they can create, imagine, and express in a positve manner according to their age and growth and skill level. I am open and upfront with parents with the childs level at age of skills. Some children just need a little extra guidance and some I can see red flags for later on. But all children have a desire to engage in arts and music and any form of expression. *We have a dress up centre and imagination play area, where they can pretend and play and recreate their world. Reading centre with books for all ages and skill levels, both as a individual or read together as a group. Crafts Building blocks and lego music time all meals are home cooked where I minimilize the need for excess processed foods. Load up on veggies and fruit and less on boxed foods here. Treat days we will do. I DO however let parents know that if they have a special diet or food that i dont offer here they are more than welcome to bring it for their childs benefit. Healthy of course. I discourage junk or candy in my home but will not turn away an homebaked treat for the kids from time to time if you wish to offer it. I have my first aid and cpr and ECE LEVEL 1 AND police clearance. LOTS OF REFERENCES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. WE ARE CLOSE TO Fish Creek Park and ARE located in Deer Run Estates in the south east.
