Daycare description / philosophy

Hi, my name is Monika! I have my Bachelors of Education, Masters of Commerce, Level Three Childcare Certification, First-aid CPR training, Police Clearance and over 16 years of experience working as an educator with children (8 years working as a teacher and 8 years working in BrightPath Learning Centre). I speak English, Hindi, and Punjabi. My BRAND NEW day home is currently in the process of getting licensed with Children’s Choice Community Childcare Services; the process should be completed around the end of August - the start of September. I specialize in care for Preschoolers, and Toddlers. I have weekly themes for our learning activities to allow your child to learn about various different topics and themes. Within my day home, your child will engage in fun fine motor activities, gross motor skills, outdoor activities, creative expression, dramatic play, cultural diversity, free play, literacy, science, numeracy, and more. For free play time, my day home has a bunch of centers (kitchen, dress-up, sensory, library, music, art), educational activities, toys and books for your child to have fun and learn along the way. To deepen your child’s learning we will have special activities such as small field trips, nature walks, and more! Your child will get to be creative with art, music, and drama activities. During the warmer months, the children will get to learn how to grow and take care of their own plants! Meals (AM snacks, Lunch, PM snacks) will be provided for your child daily. This menu plan can be adjusted to your child’s needs, if required, to consider allergies, food sensitivities, etc. I will provide a weekly calendar showing the menu plan and activities for the coming week. As well as this I will be sending daily activity pictures and weekly artwork. I have a fully independent space for my facility in a bright and spacious walk-out basement, with a big sunny fenced backyard, and separated sleeping quarters. My day home is located in the amenity-rich community of Mahogany; with multiple beautiful beaches, parks, and more a short walk away. The Mahogany West Beach is within a 4 min walking distance and the Orange Park is right next door where your child will enjoy a fun and safe outdoor learning environment. It is a non-smoking and pet-free property that is situated at the start of the community for easy access. I currently have spots available in my BRAND NEW Dayhome and can care for your child as soon as the end of August - the start of September!
