Daycare description / philosophy

Plantings Seeds Dayhome is an established private dayhome which has recently moved to Thorncliffe NW. Part-time spots for preschool-aged children [ages 3-5] are available starting in January [operating only on Tue/Wed/Thu].

My name is Diana and I am a mother to 2 beautiful boy- ages 2 and 4. I have my Level One in Early Childhood Education and I am also a Yoga Playschool teacher (with Police Clearance and CPR).

My philosophy on raising children is very much inspired by the waldorf philosophy and principles of attachment parenting. I see this phase of development in children as an integral one and put very much intention/attention into how I choose to foster and model behaviours in order to be 'worthy of imitation'. I have a focus on nature, yoga, mindfulness and open-ended play.

Local/organic/non-gmo food and ethically-raised meat is important to me, so the children will be nourished with the best home-cooked foods:) We also go outside daily - rain or shine!

Parents should note that I am also run a Yoga Playschool, and on Tuesdays/Thursdays when I am teaching class, I have a hired child-care worker that cares for the children (including my own children).
