My children attended LFLF for 3 years (2012-2015). During that time, I would say that I was a big advocate for the school. However, things started a downward spiral in 2015. There was way too much turnover in the staff and too much inconsistent information coming from the school director that I decided not to reenlist. I contacted 6 of the 8 staff members who left and they all said their major reasons for leaving were such low pay and poor treatment by the director. This school sounds/looks great on paper, but when you look deeper into the details I worry it falls short… it oversells itself. The French classes aren’t structured enough (singing the same songs for 3 years doesn’t mean my kid is being taught the language. If asked how to say “hello” or “good-bye” in French, my kids can’t answer correctly. They don’t even know simple phrases like “my name is…”). After the “good” piano teacher left, the new staff member didn’t bring the same bravado to the lessons and the kids lost interest… but of course no refun
